Duplicati is an open-source backup app that lets you manage encrypted backups across S3, WebDAV, SFTP, and local hardware from a single console. Its backups are encrypted with AES-256 on your machine before they reach the network or cloud, and it works with the local or cloud storage you already have. Duplicati supports on-prem to cloud backups (such as AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, Wasabi Hot Storage, and Backblaze B2), cloud to on-prem archiving for Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or S3 buckets, and local-to-local backups to network-attached storage via SFTP or SMB.

For teams and service providers, Duplicati offers centralized backup policies that can be created once and pushed to multiple clients, multi-site management that lets global admins delegate backup management to regional IT staff, and silent, lightweight agents that run in the background. Only changed blocks are transmitted, which saves WAN bandwidth, and backups can be scheduled during off-peak hours. Client environments can be isolated in sub-organizations under one subscription.
