Easy Move+Resize

Easy Move+Resize is a Mac app that adds modifier key plus mouse drag controls for moving and resizing windows on OS X. Its behavior is based on window managers commonly found on X11/Linux. Hold Cmd + Ctrl and left-click anywhere inside a window, then drag to move it. Hold Cmd + Ctrl and right-click, then drag to resize it. The resize direction depends on which part of the window you click: a click near the top-left corner resizes from that corner, while a click near the top-center resizes from the top edge. A Middle Click resize option is also available.

The modifier keys can be customized from the application icon menu by toggling key names, and all selected keys must be held for the action to activate. You can disable the behavior entirely, bring a window to the front when dragging or resizing it from the background, restore default settings, or disable the app for a specific application. Easy Move+Resize can be installed with Homebrew (brew install --cask easy-move-plus-resize) or manually from the Releases page. The project is MIT licensed.
