About
ecoDMS is a document management software for archiving documents, receipts, and emails in one central place, with fast retrieval from anywhere. It is designed to help meet retention obligations under GoBD and DSGVO requirements and to simplify everyday work through digital workflows.
Key functions described on the website include storing documents via drag-and-drop, plugin, or automatic import; full-text search that also covers metadata and scanned documents via OCR; and location-independent access through a web client, a ScanApp, and a desktop program. Documents can be previewed, annotated, and forwarded within the system, with each change saved as a new version.
The software also offers role-based permissions, audit logging, and retention periods stored in the system. It runs on Windows, Linux, and macOS, and the website positions it as easy to set up without a large IT project. A separate ecoMAILZ product archives emails automatically.
