electerm is a free, open-source client that combines terminal, SSH/SFTP/FTP/Telnet, serial port, RDP, VNC and Spice access in a single application. It runs on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, HarmonyOS and iOS, and also supports older systems such as Windows 7, Ubuntu 18, macOS 10.x and several Chinese Linux distributions. The site lists features including publicKey and password authentication, proxies, SSH tunneling, agent, port and X11 forwarding, and connection hopping. It also includes an AI assistant that works with OpenAI and Anthropic API formats, cloud sync of bookmarks and themes to GitHub/Gitee gists, WebDAV or custom servers, and Zmodem and Trzsz file transfer. Installers and portable builds are offered for each platform and architecture, including the Mac App Store-independent options via DMG, Homebrew and npm.
