About
Elgato Studio is a Mac app (currently in beta) designed to be the fastest way to record your gameplay. It requires macOS 15.0 Sequoia or later. The website describes Elgato Studio as a tool to preview, record, and capture gameplay on Windows and macOS.
The app offers recording settings that you can adjust to suit your needs. These include max resolution (4K, 1440p, 1080p, or 720p), max framerate (30, 60, 120, or 144 fps), recording quality (which affects file size and detail), and recording format (H.264, HEVC, or AV1). It also supports HDR recording, which preserves richer colors and brighter highlights, along with a tone mapping toggle that helps third-party apps display HDR sources.
