About
Emailchemy is email migration, conversion, and archival software from Weird Kid Software. It converts email files from the closed, proprietary formats of many popular and legacy email applications into standard, portable formats such as MBOX, EML, Outlook PST, Outlook for Mac OLM, Maildir, and CSV. The resulting files can be used for importing, long-term archival, database entry, or forensic analysis and eDiscovery. The app runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux, so it can convert files from one platform on another, and it works without reinstalling or running the original email programs. It can read a wide range of sources, including Apple Mail, Thunderbird, Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, AOL, CompuServe, Entourage, and Google Takeout, among others. It also includes an embedded IMAP server to simplify importing into applications like Outlook, Apple Mail, and Thunderbird, along with utilities for splitting, sorting, and merging email archives and for harvesting email addresses from them.
Emailchemy is offered in several editions: Personal (one person's email, $29.95), Household (single family use, $49.95), Forensic (single technician for analysis and eDiscovery, $299.00), and Migration (organization-wide projects, with volume and educational discounts available by quote). Service bureau and embedded-use licenses, with scriptable CLI and Java API versions of the conversion engine, are available on request. All licenses include one year of updates and support. The software runs as a demo until unlocked with a valid registration key; the demo masks subject and sender fields in converted email, so users are encouraged to test it before purchasing. Version 15 adds native Apple Silicon support, advanced PST output options, faster IMAP performance, and improved Google Takeout compatibility. Minimum 8GB of RAM is recommended.
