ExifClip is a Mac app that places a photo's date onto the image itself, so you can print it out. To use it, drag and drop your photo into the app, and the date appears on the photo. The app was re-developed for the newer macOS Big Sur.
ExifClip can also work together with Photos, as a Photo Editing extension. If drag and drop does not work well, the site suggests exporting the photo to a JPG file first and then dropping that file onto the app.
ExifClip is available on the Mac App Store, and the developer, SmallDeskSoftware, provides a demo video on its website.
