About
Factory is a platform for building a software factory with autonomous agents that can plan, build, review, and ship software across desktop, terminal, web, and CLI. Its agents, called droids, turn enterprise intent and codebase context into validated production software, while teams set the goals and policies that guide them. The product emphasizes control and governance: organizations can choose where their system runs, how it learns, and which models it uses, and can deploy a governed system that continuously turns enterprise signals into validated software.
The platform includes tools for visibility and operations. Analytics tracks adoption and consumption per developer and per team, Mission Control shows active missions, worker progress, and execution logs in real time, and Agent Readiness scores each repository's readiness over time. Automations handle repetitive engineering work, Model Routing selects a model for each task based on quality, speed, and cost, and Code Review provides inline comments on every pull request. Factory also offers Droid Computers, dedicated hardware for running agents locally with persistent state, and AutoWiki, which keeps a living wiki for each repository as the code changes.
