About
FileBot is a tool for renaming and organizing movies, TV shows, and anime. It matches media files against online databases and can download artwork and cover images, fetch subtitles, and more, all in a matter of seconds. Files are matched with information from your preferred online database, then renamed and organized according to a naming scheme you can customize or keep simple by using the {plex} naming standard. Subtitles can be fetched automatically or searched and downloaded manually, previewed, and fixed for encoding problems.
FileBot also offers a command-line interface and a built-in scripting engine for remote operation and unattended, automated workflows. Its features include a simple user interface, native installers for all operating systems, rename and move of hundreds of files at once, organization into standard structures for Plex, Kodi, and Jellyfin, and episode or movie information from TheMovieDB, TheTVDB, or AniDB. Additional features cover music renaming via ID3 tags or AcoustID fingerprints, photo renaming via Exif metadata, checksum computation and verification, directory tree comparison, and batch extraction from archives and ISO images.
