About
FireAlpaca is a free paint tool for digital painting that works on Windows and Mac and supports 10 languages. The website says it has been used worldwide, and it is positioned as a tool to help you create your own illustrations.
FireAlpaca offers a library of brushes, with new original brushes released weekly. These include analog-style brushes such as pencil and watercolor, as well as brushes for intricate motifs like flowers, plants, and laces. You can customize brushes by changing parameters such as drawing spacing or spray intensity, with results shown in a real-time preview. Five brush texture types add an analog effect to downloaded or original brushes. Post Drawing Adjustment automatically adjusts drawn lines, with presets such as 'Forced fade-in/out', 'Ink Pool', and 'Hand Lettering', which can also be customized.
The site also lists a range of other functions, including the Text Tool, Halftone, Tone Curve, Lasso Fill, 3D Perspective Grid, Gradient Map, CMYK display, Animation Tool, and Reference Window.
