About
Flacon is an open source audio file encoder for the Mac. It extracts individual tracks from one large audio file containing an entire album and saves them as separate audio files, using information from the matching CUE file. It also lets you revise or specify tags for all tracks at once or for each track separately.
Flacon accepts WAV, FLAC, APE, WavPack, and True Audio (TTA) input files. It can output FLAC, WAV, WavPack, AAC, OGG, or MP3 files.
Other features include ReplayGain analysis in ALBUM-gain and TRACK-gain modes, a multi-threaded conversion process, automatic character set detection for CUE files, and generation of a per-track CUE file in the output directory.
