The FLEXOPTIX App is a macOS application for use with FLEXBOX devices, supporting models FB-02, FB-03, FO.FB.V4 and FO.FB.5. The app is installed locally on your computer but requires a stable internet connection at all times to run. It checks for and installs updates automatically. A macOS x64 version is available for download.
For reliable operation, the app needs access to several FLEXOPTIX and reconfigure.me domains over TCP ports 443 or 51680, which supports authentication and remote features. Connectivity problems, such as the app failing to detect the FLEXBOX or disconnecting when a transceiver is plugged in or the laser is switched on, are described as power supply issues. Recommended fixes include connecting the FLEXBOX directly to your computer, avoiding USB hubs and long extension cords, and using a powered USB hub.
Because macOS blocks software installed from outside the Apple App Store by default, you must change a system security setting before installing the app. The website provides installation notes and a troubleshooting section for these steps.
