About
Flick is a Mac app that turns everyday commands into a single gesture. Hold a key, flick your mouse toward an action, and release. Actions cover apps (launch, quit, hide, toggle), windows (snap to halves, thirds, and quarters, maximize, minimize, full screen), files and folders, web (open URLs, search, send links to a chosen browser), screenshots, recorded keyboard shortcuts, text and clipboard transforms, media and audio controls, system functions like locking the screen or toggling Dark Mode, and automation via shell scripts, AppleScript, Terminal commands, or Apple Shortcuts. Actions can also be chained or repeated, with optional delays. Each wheel holds 8 slots, and you can build your own wheels.
Flick is free to start, with one wheel, 8 slots, seven action categories, and every tuning option kept free permanently. A 30-day trial of full Pro features starts inside the app without a card or sign-up. Flick Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, covering up to 5 Macs. It adds more wheels, four additional action categories (Windows, System, Automation & Integration, Combinators), and Pro backdrops. The launch sale price is $9.99 until Dec 31, 2026, then $19.99. Flick requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later and Accessibility permission, and it works with a trackpad as well as a mouse.
According to the site, Flick has no analytics, telemetry, or crash reporting, and it requires no account. It contacts the network only to check for updates and, for paid Pro users, to validate a license key about once a week. The website itself uses cookie-free Cloudflare Web Analytics.
