About
Fluent Reader is a modern, open-source desktop RSS reader that runs locally on your computer. It lets you bring your favorite sources together and read without distractions. You can stay in sync with Inoreader, Feedbin, or services compatible with Fever or the Google Reader API, or import your sources from an OPML file and read them locally. Sources can be organized into groups, and full data backups make it possible to move between computers.
The app includes a built-in article view tailored for focus, and if a source only provides snippets, you can configure it to load full content with Mercury Parser, load the webpage within the app, or open it externally. Search covers both article titles and full contents and supports regular expressions. Articles can be marked as starred, hidden, or unread, and custom regular-expression rules can filter articles as they arrive. Privacy is emphasized: data stays with you, cookies are cleared on exit, no personal information is collected, and a strict Content Security Policy is enforced. The app also supports system-level dark mode for both the interface and reading.
