Folx is a free download manager for Mac that is compatible with the latest macOS. Its free features include splitting each download into two threads to improve speed, smart tagging to assign one or more tags to downloads, and auto download resuming, which picks up an interrupted download from where it stopped. Folx also works with Safari, Firefox, Opera, and Chrome through a plugin, can download through a proxy, and integrates with Spotlight so you can find tagged files without opening the app.

Folx PRO adds advanced features. Smart speed adjustment lets you control download speed manually or let the app manage bandwidth automatically. Download scheduling lets you start downloads at specific times and choose what happens after a download finishes. Other PRO features include a password saver for frequently used websites, Apple Music integration that sends downloaded music and videos to Music (formerly iTunes) according to your tags, multi-threading of up to 20 simultaneous threads per download, and an in-built torrent search bar that shows results from various torrent sites.
