About
FUJIFILM Pixel Shift Combiner works with cameras that offer the PIXEL SHIFT MULTI SHOT mode. The camera captures a series of RAW images while using in-body image stabilization to move the image sensor, and the software then combines these images into a single Digital Negative (DNG) RAW file. You can choose between two combining types: "High resolution + Accurate color" and "Accurate color." Because every pixel position receives red, green, and blue data in this mode, the demosaicing process is unnecessary, which the website describes as yielding real color information.
The software also supports tethered shooting for PIXEL SHIFT MULTI SHOT photography, and the combining feature is available separately from tethered shooting. Version 1.7.1 is the current Mac release, last updated April 2, 2026. Earlier updates mentioned on the page include a Capture One plug-in for launching the combiner directly from Capture One, separate folders for each PIXEL SHIFT MULTI SHOT session, an error-detection function for images that cannot be combined correctly due to camera shake, and a magnified view for checking details before RAW development.
The website notes that compatibility depends on the camera model, with a chart provided on the page, and that usage instructions are available through the software's help function. The page does not list Mac system requirements, so those details are not covered here.
