About
GDevelop is an open-source, no-code game engine for creating 2D and 3D games. It uses a drag-and-drop, visual "what you see is what you get" interface and a no-code event system, so no advanced programming languages are needed. Ready-made behaviors can be attached to objects to add game logic, and games can be exported in one click for desktops, the web, or mobile devices.
The engine includes built-in multiplayer lobbies, leaderboards, and player accounts, and it can be extended with extensions or JavaScript. Learning materials are available in-app, including tutorials and courses such as the GDevelop Essentials Course and step-by-step guides for platformer, roguelike, and 3D GTA-like games, along with an AI tutor that helps answer questions and build game mechanics. Publishing to Android and Steam is available through a paid plan, with iOS publishing and more AI usage included in a higher tier.
