About
GG is a GUI for the Jujutsu (JJ) version control system. It takes advantage of JJ's composable primitives to present an interactive view of your repository, and it runs as a desktop or web application with a keyboard and mouse interface. On macOS, you can install it with `brew install --cask gg`, or download the .dmg or .app.tar.gz from the releases page.
Use the left pane to query and browse the log, and click, shift-click, or double-click revisions to select, multi-select, or edit them (or create a new child, if immutable). The right pane lets you inspect and edit revisions, including their descriptions, parents, and changes. You can drag revisions to rebase them, drag files to squash them or discard changes, and drag bookmarks to set or delete them. Right-click for contextual actions, push and fetch Git changes from the bottom bar, and undo with the ⟲ button in the bottom right corner. GG doesn't require JJ to be installed, but you'll want it for tasks GG doesn't cover.
GG is lightly maintained and may have bugs. Its operation log means it should not corrupt a repository, but the site recommends keeping backups. GG uses your JJ config, and very large repositories may have some features disabled for performance.
