About
Gifox is a GIF maker for Mac that lets you record, convert, edit and share GIFs. You can capture any part of the screen with free-area selection, or use window-snap mode to make pixel-perfect recordings of an app. You can also drop in videos or image sequences to convert them into GIFs. Capture settings let you choose whether to include the cursor, mouse clicks, keyboard input, window shadow, or desktop picture.
The built-in editor offers tools to crop, cut, trim, re-arrange, duplicate, and re-export recorded or imported videos. Compression controls cover playback, colors, resizing, and dithering, so you can adjust output quality and file size. Gifox integrates with Dropbox, Google Drive, and Imgur for sharing directly from the app, and you can drag recordings into other apps.
Gifox works on macOS 10.15 Catalina and higher. It is available for download, on the Mac App Store, and through Setapp. The website says many teams use it to exchange ideas, report bugs, help customers, and revive presentations.
