About
Gnome lives in your Mac's menu bar. Press a keyboard shortcut, type what you're looking for, and a grid of GIFs appears. Click one and it's copied to your clipboard, ready to paste into Slack, Messages, Mail, Notes, or any app that accepts an image. GIF search is powered by Klipy, and the app has built-in VoiceOver support, keyboard navigation, and commands to copy a GIF's title or caption.
Gnome also searches your local GIF library, letting you search, tag, and organize GIFs you already have. It uses Apple's built-in vision technology to analyze the frames of each animation, so you can search for text that appears inside a GIF. The app also includes a GIF Creator, where you can add a background image, text, animated emoji, and confetti, then copy the finished GIF to your clipboard.
Gnome costs $7 to unlock everything permanently. Without unlocking, the app works for five minutes of unpaid use, after which it only returns GIFs featuring "Weird Al" Yankovic or Rick Astley. Gnome is also available for iPhone and iPad.
