About
GnuCash is personal and small-business financial-accounting software, freely licensed under the GNU GPL. Designed to be easy to use, yet powerful and flexible, it lets you track bank accounts, stocks, income and expenses. It is as quick and intuitive to use as a checkbook register, and it is based on professional accounting principles to ensure balanced books and accurate reports.
Feature highlights listed on the website include double-entry accounting, stock/bond/mutual fund accounts, small-business accounting, reports and graphs, QIF/OFX/HBCI import with transaction matching, scheduled transactions, and financial calculations.
For macOS, the site offers downloads for Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 11 "Big Sur" or later and for Intel Macs running macOS 10.13 "High Sierra" or later. GnuCash is developed, maintained, documented, and translated entirely by volunteers.
