About
Go2TV lets you play video, audio, and image files on your Smart TV or Chromecast device directly from your computer or phone, with no need to copy files to a USB drive or set up a media server. It works with Smart TVs that support DLNA/UPnP (such as Samsung, LG, and Sony), Google Chromecast devices, and media receiver apps like BubbleUPnP and GMediaRender. You select your file, pick your device, and play.
The app auto-discovers compatible devices on your network and supports seeking, external and embedded subtitles, internet radio browsing, torrent playback, and playlists with loop and auto-play options. Optional FFmpeg support enables on-the-fly transcoding of incompatible formats, plus RTMP live streaming from OBS and an experimental desktop casting feature.
Go2TV offers a graphical interface, a command-line interface, and a web UI in server mode for controlling casting from any browser on your network. On macOS it can be installed with Homebrew (brew install --cask go2tv) or by downloading the release for Intel or Apple Silicon. Go2TV is distributed as a single executable that requires no installation.
