Gopher64 is a cross-platform N64 emulator. For Mac, it is distributed as an app bundle (gopher64-macos-aarch64.zip) and can also be installed with Homebrew using `brew install --cask gopher64`. Notable features include netplay, homebrew support, upscaling, a CRT shader, CPU overclocking emulation, cheats, savestates, and RetroAchievements.

Keys are mapped according to default settings, and Xbox-style controllers also have a default mapping applied. Gopher64 supports peer-to-peer netplay for online play with others, and the project recommends reading its netplay guide before trying it. The app is licensed under GPLv3.

For privacy, during online netplay sessions the server logs your IP address and basic session information (game title and session name). If you enable RetroAchievements, some data is sent to their systems.
