About
GpgFrontend is a free, open-source app for encrypting files, text, and email with OpenPGP. It needs no command line and no complicated setup, so you can encrypt, sign, and manage your keys with simple clicks. Protection, key management, and email encryption all live in one app, and you can choose the trusted GnuPG engine or a modern, memory-safe Rust rPGP engine.
Everything runs on your own computer. There is no account, no cloud, and no tracking, and your secrets never leave your machine. GpgFrontend works on Windows, macOS, and Linux, and can be run from a USB drive without leaving anything behind on the host machine.
Experienced users can switch between the GnuPG and Rust rPGP engines at any time, generate ML-KEM, ML-DSA, and SLH-DSA post-quantum keys, and keep separate keyrings for different identities, projects, or teams. The app also supports subkeys with an offline primary key, and private keys can be moved onto a hardware smart card for stronger protection.
