About
Halo is a Dynamic Island for your Mac. It turns the notch, or the top of any screen without one, into a live home for your messages, voice, AI agents, music, day and files, and it stays out of sight until something happens. Notifications from apps such as Messages, Slack, Mail and Telegram appear in the island, where you can read them at a glance, click to open the app, or let them go. Calls on FaceTime, Zoom, Teams and other apps show which app has your mic and for how long.
Dictation works anywhere: hold Fn, or the right Option or Command key, and speak. Your words appear under the notch as you talk and are typed wherever your cursor is. Halo also includes Buddy, a small face beside the notch that follows your cursor and naps when you step away. Buddy shows your AI agents' status, such as thinking while they work, wide-eyed when they need you, and happy when they're done. The Agents tab lists Claude Code and Codex sessions, and clicking one takes you to its terminal.
Halo is a one-time purchase of $9.99 with no subscription. It requires macOS 15 or later and runs on Apple silicon and Intel Macs.
