Hazel

About

Hazel watches the folders you tell it to and automatically organizes your files according to the rules you create. It can move files based on name, date, type, what site they came from, and much more, such as sorting your movies or filing your bills, so your files stay off the desktop and in the right places.

Hazel can also open, archive, tag, and upload files. You can have it rename files or sort them into subfolders based on name, date, or any combination of attributes you choose. With Hazel's pattern matching, you can build workflows that process your files your way.

Hazel also keeps your trash in check by deleting files that are too old or clearing it when it gets too big. Its App Sweep detects when you throw away an application, finds its leftover support files, and offers to remove those too. Hazel also integrates with Spotlight, Photos, Music & TV, notifications, tags, Shortcuts, AppleScript, and Automator.
