About
HextEdit is a hex editor for macOS, designed to fit in with the rest of the system from its app icon to its full-height sidebar. It runs natively on both Intel-based CPUs and Apple Silicon, and it is built in Swift using an efficient data structure intended for fast editing of files both small and large.
The app lets you edit bytes as little or big endian signed or unsigned integers, floats, or doubles, and view values as binary, decimal, or hexadecimal numbers. You can insert, delete, copy, or paste bytes or strings, undo and redo changes, jump to a specific offset, and zero selected bytes. Its file version history is also available.
HextEdit can search for strings, integers, and byte patterns, using incremental background find so you can keep working while searching very large files. It is priced at $12.99 and requires macOS 12 or later.
