About
Heynote is a large, persistent text buffer divided into blocks. Press ⌘-Enter to create a new block, and press ⌘-A inside a block to select only that block's content. Each block can have its own language set, with syntax highlighting and auto-formatting. Math blocks work as calculator scratchpads that support variables, functions, and unit conversions, including currencies.
Beyond the default Scratch buffer, you can create as many note buffers as you like. Press ⌘-N for a new buffer, ⌘-S to move the current block into a new buffer, and ⌘-P to switch between buffers quickly. Buffers can be organized into directories, and each buffer corresponds to a file on disk. Heynote also supports inline images, which you can paste or drag and drop into a buffer, resize in the editor, and copy back to the system clipboard.
Heynote includes a lightweight drawing tool for freehand annotations on top of images. Once you've marked up an image, you can update your clipboard with the new version with a single click or keystroke.
