About
HistoryHound is a Mac app that performs a "personal web search" across the content of web pages and RSS feeds you've visited recently, as well as your bookmarks. Type a few keywords and it returns a list of matching pages ranked by relevance. It works with many macOS browsers, including Safari, Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Brave, Arc, Orion, Floorp, Opera, Vivaldi, NetNewsWire and URL Manager Pro, and searches across all of them if you use more than one.
HistoryHound offers a full search window or an unobtrusive search palette, which can be set to float above other windows and be summoned with a configurable hot key such as command-option-space. It supports searching for any or all terms, boolean searches, and include/exclude notation. You can choose how many days of browsing history to keep. It is built on macOS Spotlight search technology and includes a WebKit-based browser for rendering results. A fully functional 30-day free trial is available, and the app is priced at $14.95 for a single-user license.
