About
Homie is a Mac app that places HomeKit controls in your menu bar, giving you one-click access to quick accessory control and scene switching. You can add global keyboard shortcuts for your most important scenes, and connect scenes to macOS triggers, such as unlocking your computer or waking it from sleep. Sensor values like temperature and air quality, along with accessories, can be pinned to the menu bar, and favorite scenes can be saved for quick access without opening the Home app.
The app uses a familiar interface with sliders and color pickers for controlling devices. According to user reviews on the site, it fills gaps left by the native Home app, particularly for quickly switching lights from the menu bar, and it displays on/off status and sensor data such as air quality, humidity, and temperature. Homie is available for free on the Mac App Store.
