About
Hookmark is a Mac app that removes the friction of searching for the digital resources you need while you work. It lets you create and copy clean, robust links to web pages, files, emails, tasks, and other items from your favorite apps, then paste them into your notes, task lists, or anywhere else you need them. Links can be deep, pointing to a specific location in a PDF, and file links keep working even when you move or rename files. It can also clean the extra tracking clutter from URLs without plugins, and automatically bookmark items you copy.
For note-taking, Hookmark's "Hook to New" command creates a new note in your app of choice from any source, such as a web page, PDF, or file, with a two-way link between the note and the source so you can move back and forth quickly. Pro features add integration with bookmarking services including Instapaper, GoodLinks, Pinboard, DEVONthink, and Linkding. Markdown links, keyboard shortcuts for all functions, and a consistent "reveal in Finder" command are also available. Hookmark stores your bookmarks on your Mac, and its basic features are free, with a 30-day trial of Pro features.
