About
HueCommand is a native app for controlling Philips Hue lights on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, Apple Vision Pro and Apple Watch. Its Rooms screen shows how many lights are on in each room and their colors, and a single tap switches a whole room. You can set brightness, pick colors with a live color wheel or warm-to-cool white slider, and use harmony modes to spread colors across a room. Goodnight lets you choose a fade duration so the Hue Bridge slowly dims the lights while you fall asleep.
The app also offers effects such as Candle Flicker, Fireplace, Ocean Waves, Northern Lights and Thunderstorm, plus music sync that reacts to sound through the microphone. Scenes can be built manually, started from 25 templates, or made from a photo. Pro features include an AI Scene Creator that generates scenes from a description on supported devices, entertainment streaming, remote access through your own Philips Hue account, automations, and widgets and controls for the Home Screen, Control Center, Lock Screen and Action button.
HueCommand is free to download and requires a Philips Hue Bridge, with iOS 17 or later, macOS 14 or later, tvOS 17 or later, visionOS 1 or later, and watchOS 10 or later. Features vary by device: for example, Apple Watch controls rooms and lights on or off through your iPhone but not color or scenes, and music sync is not available on Apple TV or Vision Pro.
