iCab

About

iCab is an alternative web browser for the Apple Mac, offering numerous useful features not found in other browsers. It is shareware that costs $10 / 10 EUR, but it can also be used for free with a small limitation.

iCab can block unwanted content such as ads and pop-up windows, and many settings can be configured automatically based on the URL of the page you visit. Its Kiosk mode covers the whole screen and blocks other applications, which suits public places like fairs, exhibitions, and hotels, and access can be restricted to certain pages. A download manager lets you save files and whole web pages to access offline.

iCab's source code manager can display a page's source or open it in a text editor, and it can automatically reload the page when the HTML is saved. You can choose whether links open in a new window or tab, and in the background or foreground. HTML pages can be stored as a compact ZIP file including all images, and iCab can warn you when visiting sites known for malware or phishing. It is highly configurable.
