About
iMazing Converter is a tiny, free app for Mac and PC that converts photos from HEIC to JPEG and videos from HEVC/H.265 to MP4/H.264. The newer photo and video formats Apple introduced in iOS 11 offer great quality and smaller file sizes, but they may not work with older macOS and Windows versions. The app lets you convert them to legacy formats when needed.
The app can convert HEIC to JPG or PNG and HEVC (H.265) to AVC/MP4 (H.264). You can adjust resolution and quality, choose whether to preserve or remove EXIF metadata, and drag and drop files or folders. It supports color profiles, including wide-gamut.
iMazing Converter is made by the iMazing Team, who also make iMazing, an iPhone and iPad manager. The website notes that if you need to extract pictures without converting them, iMazing can do that too.
