About
Inkdrop is an AI-native Markdown note app for developers. Your agents can search and read your notes through an MCP server, such as Claude Code or any other MCP client, so your decisions and lessons inform their work. Its AI-ready note templates include instructions for AI, so agents can fill out a daily report, a bug-fix write-up, or a feature plan and file their work the way you would. Notes sync with end-to-end encryption out of the box, and the app is available on macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS, and Android.
The Markdown editor lets you write tech notes without memorizing syntax. Slash commands insert headings, alerts, and code blocks, and a floating toolbar formats selected text. Code blocks offer language suggestions and autocompletion, and typing a colon followed by two characters inserts GitHub-style emoji. Pasting a URL lets you pick a link format inline, with the page title fetched in the background. An inline AI assistant edits selected text from a plain-language description, and Next Edit Suggestions predict and complete the line at your cursor. The renderer displays syntax-highlighted code, Mermaid diagrams with pan, zoom, and full-screen views, and KaTeX math.
As your notes grow, Inkdrop keeps them organized with nestable notebooks, a workspace view focused on one notebook tree, note statuses (active, on hold, completed, or dropped), tags, and pinning to the top of the note list. Keyboard shortcuts and fuzzy-find let you move through your notes without leaving the keyboard. A 30-day free trial is available.
