About
jclasslib bytecode viewer is a tool that visualizes all aspects of compiled Java class files and the contained bytecode. Many aspects of class files can be edited in the UI. All constant pool entries can be edited, and bytecode instructions can be edited from a context menu. You can open multiple class files at the same time by selecting class or JAR files, browsing a configured classpath, or dragging class files onto the main window.
The app uses dark mode by default when the system appearance is set to dark, and dark or light mode can be set persistently under File->Dark mode in the main menu. Several localizations are available and can be chosen in the UI. A plugin for IntelliJ IDEA can be installed via the plugin manager, which shows the bytecode of an open Java, Groovy, or Kotlin file in a jclasslib tool window.
Installers can be downloaded from the releases section of the project. On macOS, it can be installed with Homebrew using brew install jclasslib-bytecode-viewer. The project is released under the GPL, Version 2.0.
