About
JDK Mission Control (JMC) is an advanced set of tools for managing, monitoring, profiling, and troubleshooting Java applications. It supports detailed data analysis of areas such as code performance, memory, and latency, and is designed to do so without the performance overhead normally associated with profiling and monitoring tools.
Version 9.1.2 is a General-Availability release, Build 05 (2026/1/14), and supersedes JMC 9.1.1. It is built with the latest versions of the third-party libraries Lz4-java (1.10.2) and Angus Mail (2.0.5). The macOS build is available as a tar.gz download for both AArch64 and x64 systems. The release is open source and provided under the Universal Permissive License, version 1.0.
JMC also packages core libraries that can parse, process, and automatically analyze Java Flight Recorder (JFR) files. These libraries are available on Maven Central for developers who want to build their own parsing and visualization tools. To report suggestions or bugs, submit them through the usual Java SE bug-reporting channel and include the jmc application Build id from "Help" > "About JDK Mission Control."
