About
JetBrains MPS (Meta Programming System) lets you create your own domain-specific language. You can express your domain's processes and knowledge in a language that uses the concepts and logic of your particular field, and communicate with terminology everyone in that field understands. MPS uses projectional editing, so you can work with non-textual notation such as math notations, diagrams, and forms.
MPS's intelligent editor guides you through the process with quick fixes, word completion, and intentions. Its documented examples include Agile Law Execution Factory, which uses domain-specific languages to implement Dutch tax legislation; MetaR, a set of data analysis languages for biomedical scientists with minimal computational skills; and mbeddr, a set of integrated and extensible languages for embedded software engineering.
MPS is available for download, and the website offers a Learn MPS section, an EAP Program, and a community forum, language repository, and issue tracker for developers getting started.
