About
Jiggler is a free, open source Mac app that keeps your computer awake. Rather than turning off your screensaver and sleep timer for a long task, you can run Jiggler, which wiggles your mouse every once in a while to keep your machine alert. The site notes that the "never sleep" corner keeps the screensaver from starting but does not prevent the machine from falling asleep. When you want to stay awake, run Jiggler; when you don't, quit it.
You can run Jiggler while you work, because it can be set to wiggle the mouse only after the computer has been idle for a while. It can also be configured to jiggle only when the machine is busy, whenever an unburned CD or DVD is inserted, whenever iTunes is playing, or whenever a particular application is running.
Jiggler is freeware, and its source code is available under the GNU General Public License on GitHub. Version 1.10 adds compatibility with macOS 26 (Tahoe) for "Zen jiggle" along with other minor fixes.
