Joplin

About

Joplin is an open source note-taking app for capturing your thoughts and accessing them from any device. You can create multimedia notes that include images, videos, PDFs, and audio files, and create math expressions and diagrams directly in the app. The mobile app can take photos and save them to a note, and the Chrome and Firefox web clipper extension can save web pages or screenshots as notes.

Joplin runs on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS, and a terminal app is also available. Notes sync with services including Joplin Cloud, Dropbox, and OneDrive. With Joplin Cloud, you can share notes with friends, family, or colleagues, collaborate on them, or publish a note to the internet. You can also customise the app with plugins, custom themes, and Rich Text or Markdown editors.

Joplin is open source, and your notes are saved in an open format. Notes are secured with end-to-end encryption (E2EE), so only you can access them. Joplin Cloud is based in France, so your data is protected by European Union privacy laws.
