About
KeePassXC is a free, open-source password manager for macOS that safely stores your passwords and can auto-fill them into your apps. Your passwords remain encrypted at all times, and no data is stored on remote servers, so you stay in full control of your information. The app has no ads, no subscriptions, and no cloud requirement.
KeePassXC saves many types of sensitive information, including usernames, passwords, URLs, attachments, and notes. These are kept in an offline, encrypted file that you can store in any location, including private or public cloud solutions. On macOS, the app offers quick unlock with a password. Every feature is tested on macOS, Windows, and Linux.
The source code is licensed under GPLv3 and is openly available on GitHub, so it can be inspected, shared, and contributed to. The project's Getting Started Guide explains how to download and install KeePassXC on macOS, and the User Guide and Documentation & FAQ page provide further details.
