About
Keyty is a free, open source keyboard and mouse visualizer for macOS. It displays keyboard shortcuts and typed input in a clean on-screen overlay and highlights mouse clicks, so viewers can follow along in demos, tutorials, screen recordings, presentations, and livestreams.
Keyty includes 4 styles and adjustable controls for font color, displayed key types, size, and position, so the overlay can fit your recording, stream, or presentation. It requires macOS Accessibility permission to detect keyboard and mouse input for the overlay. That permission is used only for local visualization. Keyty does not record your input, transmit it, or keep a history of your keystrokes.
You can download Keyty for macOS without a subscription, license fee, or paid upgrade, and you can inspect the source code on GitHub.
