About
Kid3 is an audio tagger for editing tags across many files at once, such as full albums. It supports a wide range of formats, including MP3, Ogg/Vorbis, FLAC, MP4/AAC, WAV, AIFF, and others, and gives control over both ID3v1 and ID3v2 tags, including conversion between ID3v1.1, ID3v2.3, and ID3v2.4.
You can set shared values such as artist, album, year, and genre for all files in an album together, generate tags from filenames or the contents of tag fields, and generate filenames, directories, and playlists from tags. Kid3 can also import album data from sources such as gnudb.org, MusicBrainz, Discogs, and Amazon, export tags as CSV, HTML, playlists, and other formats, and edit synchronized lyrics with LRC import and export. Tasks can be automated using QML/JavaScript, D-Bus, or the command-line interface.
Kid3 is open source under the GNU General Public License. The macOS version is available as a DMG for Apple Silicon and Intel, with a Qt 5 build for older macOS releases.
