Koharu is a manga translation app that keeps source text, translations, artwork, and layout together in a local project. You can run a complete translation pipeline or revise an individual stage, then use the canvas tools to finish the page. Releases are available for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

A project can start from images, archives, or PDFs. You choose which pages and stages to run, then review and correct OCR, wording, names, and line breaks. Koharu can remove source lettering and repair the artwork, and it fits translated text using fonts, alignment, fill, and stroke. When the page is ready, you can export flattened PNG images or editable layered PSD files.

Projects stay on your machine. Translation can use local models or hosted translation services, and hosted providers receive the content needed for the requests you send. Koharu also includes a Koharu Agent that can inspect pages and make scoped edits to a project.
