About
Kreya is a privacy-first desktop API client that lets teams explore, test, and automate API workflows from one place, without SaaS lock-in or tooling sprawl. It supports gRPC, REST, GraphQL, WebSocket, and Server-Sent Events in a single workspace, and it can sync API definitions from OpenAPI specs, GraphQL schemas, and protobufs. Requests can run over HTTP/1.1, HTTP/2, and HTTP/3, as well as Unix domain sockets and Windows named pipes.
For testing, Kreya offers snapshot tests that diff responses against baselines to catch regressions, along with scripted and data-driven tests using JavaScript. The Kreya CLI runs headlessly in CI/CD pipelines and can publish JUnit reports. Authentication is handled through a reusable auth vault supporting methods such as OAuth 2.0, API keys, mTLS, and JWT, and environment profiles let requests inherit the right configuration for staging, QA, or production.
All data stays on the user's device, which is a key point for regulated industries. Projects are stored as structured JSON designed for Git diffs and code reviews, so teams can share, review, and version their requests, and collections can be imported from tools like Postman and Insomnia. Kreya is available on macOS, Windows, and Linux.
