LaunchOS

About

LaunchOS is a Launchpad alternative for macOS 26 and macOS 27, built to restore the classic Launchpad experience on the Mac. It is optimized for macOS 27 and supports Liquid Glass, 120Hz refresh rates, and importing your native Launchpad layout. You can open it with a global hotkey, a trackpad gesture, or a right-click menu, and you can drag apps to your Dock.

The Basic plan is free. The Pro plan adds features such as launching from hot corners or the F4 key, a customizable grid layout, a vertical scroll view, a window browsing mode, multi-select and batch operations, custom app renaming, hiding unwanted apps, custom app sources, and completely uninstalling apps. Pro is available as a lifetime license with a 7-day free trial, and it is offered in single-device, 2-device, and 5-device options.

LaunchOS is not on the App Store, which the site attributes to App Store rules on replicas of native system apps. It is available in more than 15 languages, including English, Chinese, Japanese, and German. Reviewers quoted on the site describe it as a faithful, fast, and trackpad-friendly restoration of Launchpad.
