Layout is a Mac app for developers juggling multiple projects. Each project gets its own workspace, where you keep the right editor, terminals, browser tabs, and AI chats together. You can switch between projects with one shortcut instead of hunting through open windows.
The app includes a Focus Agent, new in version 0.6, and a Layout Bar that shows your workspaces and their status, such as when Claude is asking for your input. Switching workspaces with the keyboard is supported, and you can cancel or search from the switcher.
Layout is free for 14 days with no card needed. After the trial, it costs $9.99 once during early access (listed as $19 regularly). It requires macOS 14 or later and runs on both Apple silicon and Intel Macs.
