About
LibrePCB is a free, cross-platform, easy-to-use electronic design automation suite for drawing schematics and designing printed circuit boards. It is aimed at makers, students, and professionals, from beginners to experts. It runs on Windows, Linux, and macOS, is available in 15 languages, and costs nothing to use. It has no restrictions and requires no online account.
LibrePCB uses simple, intuitive, well-known user-interface concepts, so users can start working with it quickly without studying the documentation for days. Its library concept organizes symbols and footprints in a meaningful, semantic way. All files it creates are human-readable and canonical, so version control systems can be used on libraries and projects without unintended or obfuscated diffs.
LibrePCB can be connected or used fully offline. Its integrated library manager and PCB fabrication service are optional. The librepcb-cli tool can run checks and data exports headlessly, for example within a CI pipeline. LibrePCB is free and open-source software, with its source code published on GitHub under the GPLv3 license.
