LINQPad is a scratchpad for C#, F# and VB that lets you instantly test any expression, statement block or program, not just LINQ queries. You can reference your own assemblies and NuGet packages, prototype ideas before pasting working code into Visual Studio, or call your scripts from the command line. It is available for Windows and macOS, and the Standard edition is free with no expiry.

LINQPad can query databases in LINQ or SQL, with drivers for SQL Server, SQL Azure, SQLite, PostgreSQL, Oracle and MySQL. Association properties are generated from foreign key relationships, so you can access related rows without joining. The Dump method displays almost any object, and Util.Cache lets you keep intermediate results so you can edit and re-run scripts without recomputing them.

LINQPad also includes a lightweight debugger, autocompletion in all languages, and tools for benchmarking with BenchmarkDotNet and exporting native .xlsx files. It includes an integrated password manager for API keys and a searchable tutorial with runnable samples. The Premium edition adds opt-in AI features, including completion, chat, SQL-to-LINQ conversion and a coding agent.
