Local is a desktop app for developing WordPress sites locally. It sets up WordPress for you with one click, including SSL, and offers root SSH access, WP-CLI, and the ability to hot-swap PHP environments for testing. One-click admin lets you log in to your WordPress site without managing separate usernames and passwords.

For deploying and sharing, Local can push and pull sites to and from Flywheel or WP Engine for offline editing and going live. MagicSync recommends which files to update and lets you choose which files to sync. Live Links create persistent URLs so you can share local sites with clients and coworkers without deploying them, and Cloud Backups let you push and pull sites to Google Drive or Dropbox.

Before launch, Local includes a Link Checker, Image Optimizer, and Instant Reload to help you check your site. Local is free to download and is available for Mac (Intel and Apple Silicon), Windows, and Linux.
